Chelmsford City Racecourse officials have announced that tickets and restaurant bookings will go on sale for upcoming race meetings for the first time at midday on Friday January 16.

The news follows the successful completion of a seven-race card in front of invited guests last Sunday that doubled as the first of three ‘test’ meetings at the Essex racecourse, located five miles north of Chelmsford.

General admission tickets will be available to buy for all racedays up until the end of March.  Tickets cost £15, with feature days starting from £20. Prices for restaurant bookings start at £54 for the next two fixtures.

The next two meetings are on Thursday January 22 and Wednesday January 28 and there will be a limited number of tickets available for these two ‘test’ racedays, ahead of the first full public fixture on Sunday February 1.

“We’re thrilled to announce that tickets and restaurant bookings will go on sale for Chelmsford City this Friday,” Chelmsford City managing director Phil Siers said.

“We’ve had thousands of enquiries, particularly from the local area, so we are very keen to offer more people the opportunity to visit the UK’s newest racecourse.

“Sunday February 1 remains our first official public fixture, but we will be selling a limited number of tickets for our next two test meetings.”
