ARENA Racing Company’s new managing director of the company’s racing division has said he is focused on delivering fantastic events and excellent customer experiences.

The comments follow news that Arena Racing Company (ARC) has appointed Mark Spincer as managing director of their racing division which includes south east tracks Fontwell Park, Lingfield Park, Royal Windsor and Brighton.

Spincer, ARC’s group operations director since 2015, undertook the new role of racing division managing director in mid-January after 12 years with ARC (and previously both Arena Leisure and Northern Racing). This has included time as executive director of both Newcastle and Doncaster Racecourses.

This new role will see Spincer given overall responsibility of ARC’s four greyhound stadia and 16 racecourses which comprise Bath, Chepstow, Doncaster, Ffos Las, Great Yarmouth, Hereford, Newcastle, Sedgefield, Southwell, Uttoxeter, Wolverhampton and Worcester, along with four racecourses in the south east.

Martin Cruddace, ARC chief executive, said, “We are very pleased to confirm the appointment of Mark Spincer as managing director of ARC’s Racing Division, given his considerable experience and expertise.

“He has done an excellent job as group operations director, with day to day management of our various sites, but we believe that this new role will be a significant benefit in building the business over the coming years.”

Spincer said: “We have tremendous teams working across our sites, and as such, I am very much looking forward to taking on this new role.

“Delivering fantastic events and excellent customer experiences have been at the heart of my career at ARC and will very much continue to be the focus moving forward.”
