Sire De Grugy’s jockey Jamie Moore has been announced as the ambassador for London Racecourses for the 2014/15 National Hunt season.

The news follows a spectacular year for Moore who bagged six Grade race wins that included five on BetVictor Queen Mother Champion Chase winner Sire De Grugy.

The bulk of the five Grade-level victories on Sire De Grugy were at London tracks. They included the Grade 2 williamhill.com Desert Orchid Chase at Kempton Park, and at Sandown the Grade 1 BetVictor Tingle Creek Chase and the inaugural Grade 1 running of the bet365 Celebration Chase.

“It is a pleasure to be working with Sandown Park and Kempton Park Racecourses as their ambassador for the coming season,” said Moore, who confirmed that Sire De Grugy is once again targeting the Tingle Creek Chase at Sandown on December 6.

“They are two tracks that I enjoy riding at and I have been lucky enough to have had some great successes at both, so I feel honoured to have been asked to take on this role.

“I am really looking forward to the jumps season getting underway, especially on board Sire De Grugy.  The Tingle Creek is definitely part of the plan for him and following his operation, he seems really well.”

Jockey Club Racecourses’ London regional director, Rupert Trevelyan, said: “We are very pleased to have Jamie as our jumps ambassador for London Racecourses.

“His partnership with Sire De Grugy was one of the highlights for the region in 2013/14 and it is great to have such a recognised and respected member of the weighing room working with us closely.  We look forward to what should be a fantastic jumps season.”

Tickets for the Tingle Creek Christmas Festival at Sandown Park on December 5 and 6 and the William Hill Winter Festival at Kempton Park on December 26 and 27 are now on sale.
